Notes on Packing List

CLOTHING

Cotton is a poor material outdoors because it absorbs moisture and holds it next to the skin and takes a long time to dry. Avoid cotton materials (jeans, cotton shorts/shirts, sweatshirts, cotton socks, etc.). To help prevent blisters, AVOID COTTON SOCKS.

GLASSES/CONTACTS

We recommend bringing an extra pair of contacts or eyeglasses. Contacts are easily lost outdoors and may cause eye trouble due to changes in climate, activities, etc. Bring plenty of sterile cleaning solution. We recommend using eye glass holders.

WHAT NOT TO BRING

This is a unique opportunity to connect with your partner in the silence of nature, please leave behind all electronics that would be a distraction. Guides will be photographing the trip and provide you with digital copies of these photographs via Google Drive.

Please leave behind all beauty products, fragrances, deodorants, soaps…we are ALL going to smell, and it will be okay! For environmental reasons and to avoid inviting animal into our camp, please leave these things at home. Just think how much more grateful you will be for a shower when you return home!
